  The location on a beautiful piazza. Good bus links from outside the hotel to Florence.The local bus and the"hopper"tour bus. A lovely old building with distant views of Florence.

  Disappointed not to get a room with a view.For the price we paid,we assumed that is what we would get.We were offered an upgrade for a further e40 for two nights which we declined. Staff were very professional and efficient but lacking in warmth

  'Death in Venice' charme in a good way. If you live in an old italian palazzo you can not expect an american business hotel. What you get instead is atmosphere, style and a certain elegance. If you are looking for american-style food overkill on the breakfast buffet or bathrooms like in a hospital don't travel in mediteranean Europe.

  The hotel's location is excellent fantastic views over Florence. The local bus service is cheap and easy to use. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel to people wanting to stay in a quiet pretty village with easy access to Florence

  As mentioned on previous reports the rooms are very dated there is a huge price difference between the standard rooms and the superior rooms, which are in need of renovation, but clean all the same!

  It was easy to get to florence by bus. It had good parking for car drivers. The view of florence was very nice while dinning outside on the patio.

  The rooms did not seem to be very clean. The carpeting was very dirty and the air conditionings did not work well.

  Quiet setting, a retreat away from the city Firenze. Pleasant Manor building, grand-looking at the reception, and hallway. Breakfast area overlooking the city. Room a bit dated, fairly clean, dimly-lit, otherwise staffs are pleasant and helpful. Did the British royal family stay here years ago, I wonder?

  Room furnishing dated, add more lights, would do a little of updating.

  Great location, especially for visiting Fiesole, with a 15minute scenic bus ride to the centre of florence, from just outside the front door of the hotel. Restaurant had a beautiful view and the swimming pool was lovely, if a little small. Service was friendly and efficient.

  Despite all of the good points, if you can afford to pay the extra for a balcony room, I'd highly recommend this. The standard rooms were a little dark (our room had a fixed shutter, which it was impossible to open).

  This is a small hotel in a great location close to Florence. The hotel is in an old building with lots of charm and a rustic feel. It's not perfect, plenty of character and some of the room features may appear limited and a bit tired but for us it only added to the feel and our enjoyment of the place. Very clean and the staff were polite and always helpful.

  Hotel is grubby, the bathroom was awful the shower just big enough to fit in and I am small. The bed was very hard and not the least bit comfortable. The only good thing about the room was the view over Florence. The breakfast options limited, the bread not fresh! The hotel said they were fully booked but only see another two couples. The swimming pool was filthy when I asked the staff about it and if they would clean it they reluctantly said yes but it was not ready till 4pm. Restaurant didn't even dare to try.
